Plot
'Hand Gestures' is an Italian documentary directed by Francesco Clerici. This documentary won the FIPRESCI prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. The main plot of this documentary is set at the Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, a bronze foundry workshop in Milan established a century ago and all the artisans that model, mix, knead just to create those bronze sculpture just like the Greeks and the Romans did a really long time ago. Those creation and artistic techniques can not be taught at schools, it has been learnt from the masters to their apprentices as they've been watching how it'd done. This documentary focuses on the manual work and how their own movement of their hands creating the sculpture can be define as a piece of art.
