Plot

Courgette is the nickname of a weird 9 year old boy. After the passing of his dear mother, Courgette befriends a police officer called Raymond that accompanies him to his new foster home filled with many more orphans of his age. Courgette struggles at first to find a place in this strange and sometimes hostile environment. At the beginning he doesn't make any friends. Yet with Raymond's help he will little by little start making some friends, and will learn to trust, to find true love and form his own family. The movie is the first job of Claude Barras and is written by Céline Sciamma (director of 'Girlhood' and 'Tomboy'). Is an adaptation of Gilles Paris' novel. Before it was even premiered it already was the most awarded animated film of 2016.
