Plot
Sonita must face to unhappy and cruel destiny. Her parents sell her to a man which she didn't know at all. The afgan refugee established in Iran begins to express her frustration through music. Being recorded by herself, she spits rhymes against oppressive traditions. Written and directed by Rokhsareh Ghaemmaghami, the film has participated in numerous film festivals such as Sundance Film Festival where it was awarded for Best Documentary (World Cinema) and in Documenta Madrid where the film won the Audience Award.
