Plot
'The Childhood of a Leader' is chilling fable about the rise of fascism in the 20th Century and tells the story of a young American boy living in France in 1918 whose father is working for the US government on the creation of the Treaty of Versailles and whose mother is a devout Christian who struggles with the tantrums of their defiant young son, whose wilful outbursts begin to demonstrate a monster in the making. What the kid witnesses helps to mould his beliefs. Loosely inspired by the early childhood experiences of many of the great dictators of the 20th Century, 'The Childhood of a Leader' is an ominous portrait of emerging evil. This is the first film as director Brady Corbet, who has been seen before working as an actor in films like 'Escobar: Paradise Lost', 'While We?re Young' or 'Funny Games'. 'The Childhood of a Leader' is starring by Robert Pattinson, Stacy Martin, Liam Cunningham y Bérénice Bejo, among others.
