According to PageSix, Barbara Broccoli, producer of the 007 franchise, says Daniel Craig is almost convinced to make another James Bond.

For those who do not know, the producer has also backed 'Othello', a Broadway play that has given the 49 year old actor recognition for his performance and the applause he always wanted. It may just have been this recent collaboration that has prompted Craig to rethink the situation. And after having participated in 'Spectre' two years ago, the actor did not hesitate to confess in an interview: "I would rather break this glass and cut my wrists right now".

'Bond By Car'

"Daniel was delighted with the reception and good reviews of 'Othello'," a source told the media. "Now the talks with Barbara are going in the right direction. They have a script, written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (who has already participated in several of the previous installments), and production will start as soon as Daniel again commits himself to Interpret the elegant British special agent."

Other Bonds?

Because of this tug of war, in the last six months there have been rumors regarding who is to replace the blond James Bond if he finally turned down the role. One of the candidates was Idris Elba, also known as Heimdall, Guardian of the Bifrost in the universe of 'Thor'. However Elba had no problem answering the rumors with a sharp one: "It's the wildest rumor in the world. There are no conversations with me and the studio has not told me anything."

'Straighten that tie'

The other, Tom Hiddleston, also participates of that universe as Loki, and we have been able to see more recently alongside Brie Larson in 'Kong: Skull Island', and he also had something to say about the rumors. "I love the main song, the myth of James Bond. If you ever called me to do it, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. I am aware that it is a very physical job and I would not take it lightly." He added: "I'm sorry to disappoint you. I do not think the announcement is on the way, but I feel very flattered to feel your enthusiasm."

Be that as it may and according to the aforementioned source it seems that Hiddleston was never an option since "Barbara Broccoli does not like Tom Hiddleston, he is too smug and not tough enough to do James Bond."
