'Deadpool 2': Michael Shannon in talks to play Cable

According to certain sources, it seems Michael Shannon is rumored to join Ryan Reynolds in 'Deadpool 2' as the legendary Cable!

Michael Shannon, an Oscar nominee for best supporting actor for 'Revolutionary Road' and 'Nocturnal Animals', has become the main favorite to play Cable in 'Deadpool 2'. The actor already has experience in the cinema of superheroes, was General Zod in 'Man of Steel'.

According to reports The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has their eye on the actor of 'Take Shelter' to play Nathan Summers. However, he is not the only candidate for the role. The same source also suggested David Harbor, known for playing the cop Jim Hopper on the hit 'Stranger Things', as another major choice.

It is also true that Shannon, if he is chosen, will have to film it alongside the independent film 'What They Had', film that will start filming in spring and that could coincide with the shooting start of 'Deadpool 2', which starts filming in the summer.
