Awards Season: The British films that deserve recognition

A look at the British films up for awards this coming season, as well as those we feel deserve nominations.

With awards season just around the corner and the recent reveal of the Golden Globe nominations for 2018, we've been thinking about some of the latest British films we think will do well.

Entertainment Weekly released their Oscar predictions a few months ago and from their list, seven productions were British. Out of the Golden Globe nominations, there were six. With regard to the Golden Globes, it's also worth mentioning how British films, 'Dunkirk' and 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' were amongst the most nominated, with 3 and 6 nominations, respectively. The Golden Globes ceremony will take place on Sunday 7th January, whereas we've a little longer to wait for the Oscars, which will take place on 4th March.
