According to various sources, this past weekend a test screening of 'Deadpool 2' took place, and the result wasn't pleasing. At a glance, Twitter has reacted in the same way it would towards a flop of a film. It's worth remembering that the sources of the responses are anonymous and that those who were actually present at the screening are bound by contract not to mention anything. Blogger, Jeremy Conrad, saw it fit to share his opinion with Twitter only to be threatened with legal action by Fox if he didn't subsequently remove it.

 'Deadpool 2'

"Fox screened 'Deadpool 2' tonight (not 'Dark Phoenix' again) and...yikes! First reaction wasn't what I expected to hear", tweeted Conrad who didn't delay in explaining what he believes to be the problem: a poorly developed plot, a waste of Vanessa's character (Morena Baccarin) and a run time 30 minutes longer than the first film. Actor Mike Kalinowski joined Conrad in tweeting about the 'Deadpool' sequel: "I have heard its testing really poorly. They are stunned with what the screening audiences are saying. I know people don't say much about it but, you CANNOT underestimate Tim Millers contribution to getting Deadpool made. He was 1/2 the equation".

Miller was in charge of directing the first film, leaving the job to David Leitch for the sequel. Despite having quite a bit of experience when it comes to action films and a rating of 77% on Rotten Tomatoes for 'Atomic Blonde', it's been clear for some time that Leitch has been somewhat struggling with the upcoming production.

It's "very different"

Josh Brolin, the actor behind Cable, the film's villain and one of the newcomers alongside Zazie Beetz, admitted that 'Deadpool 2' "is going to be very...funny and fresh, because its very different from the first 'Deadpool'".

As well as his role as Cable, Brolin will be playing Thanos in 'Infinity War' and mentioned "I've seen 30 minutes of 'Infinity War' and it was amazing". If the hype around the upcoming 'Avengers' film wasn't enough to get you down to the cinemas, perhaps Brolin's addition will suffice.
