After almost 30 years, 'The Simpsons' have done practically everything, including featuring cameo appearances from stars who either lend their voices to small solo-episode characters or play a yellow version of themselves on screen. Gal Gadot has now joined the list of celebrities to have featured on the show, making an appearance in the new season, of which we already have a small preview

In the first episode of the 30th season of 'The Simpsons', 'Bart's Not Dead', Homer manages to seal a deal to make a film about the supposed experience of Bart, who lied and said that he had been to heaven. It is then that Gal Gadot turns up at Homer and Ned Flanders' casting session in order to audition for the role of Lisa. Although the family's neighbor immediately hands over the role to Gadot, Homer needs some convincing, asking the actress for examples of her work other than 'Fast and Furious'. When Gadot replies asking Homer if he had not seen 'Wonder Woman', he assures her that the sight of the DC Comics logo makes him fall asleep.

This typical scene for 'The Simpsons' is especially shady given the recent agreement with Fox meaning that Disney will soon own the rights to the television series, and that the famous yellow family will belong on the same team as the Marvel superheroes, the main rivals of DC. Whether or not the shade thrown at Gadot is pure coincidence, it is certain that the 'Wonder Woman' protagonist now has another feather in her bonnet and can boast of having appeared in Matt Groening's series alongside other celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Stephan Hawking, and Michael Jackson, whose long-suspected appearance in the show, as the character of Leon Kompowsky, was recently confirmed.

The 30th Birthday of 'The Simpsons'

With the new season about to be release in the United States, 'The Simpsons' also prepares to celebrate its 30th year of streaming, and while that won't be until the 17th December 2019, it seems that the celebrations will begin long before, and we can count on a special logo to commemorate this birthday. On the 30th September the 30th season of the longest running and best series in history will begin.
