'The Walking Dead' doesn't just manage to rouse various reactions out of us after every episode, but it also leaves us wondering over how realistic some of the scenes are. One fan, author Stephen King, no less, recently pointed out a doubt that occurred to him whilst watching the latest episode.

King has a pretty impressive career as a writer, so post-apocalyptic worlds are nothing new to him, although after watching TWD this week, the author shared one of his doubts with Twitter:

Twitter users and fans of the show quickly came to the author's aid suggesting the survivors used solar powered energy. King didn't stop there though, for he continued, asking "After eight years, how come the zombies don't, like, biodegrade?" We'll give you that one King, for, whenever we see the walkers, they all look pretty intact to us.

However, Greg Nicotero, one of the people in charge of visual effects on the series has mentioned on many occasions how he tries to make the zombies look more worn and skeletal as time goes on.

Stephen King's works

Stephen King is in a very good place right now, career wise, that is. Many of the author's works are being adapted for the small screen, and on top of that, a sequel to the 2017 success 'It', featuring Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise, is in the works. Amazon is about to take on a TV adaptation of 'The Dark Tower' whilst Audience Network has renewed 'Mr. Mercedes' for a second season. The first season focussed on the assassination of Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway) and the attempts of retired police officer, Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) to solve the case. So, it goes without saying that adaptations of King's novels are doing pretty well.
