The new Lara Croft film hit cinemas this week, with a new actress taking on the role of the female adventurer. Alicia Vikander is the second actress to play the famous video game character and throughout the promo tour for 'Tomb Raider', she revealed that she used to play the first game as a child. Vikander continued that she's also played the remastered version and the reboot, the latter upon which her latest film is based.
Despite all of that, however, we wonder how much Alicia Vikander really knows about Lara Croft. The gamers amongst us will fondly remember some of the character's quirks, but, just for fun, we put the actress to the test.
Will she know the locations Croft has traversed her adventures, or the names of her enemies? Perhaps she'll recall who Croft's nemesis is, or which music group is obsessed with the character. Take a look for yourselves as we question Vikander to find out whether the actress has done her homework.
The film
'Tomb Raider' brings to the screens a younger and much more inexperienced Lara Croft than we've seen before. That said, she doesn't hesitate in embarking on an adventure just off the Japanese coast, when she finds a clue that could lead her to her long-lost father. Upon her arrival on a mysterious island, Croft realises there's a lot more to her adventure than she originally bargained for. The film is directed by Roar Uthaug and also features the likes of Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu and Dominic West.
