Plot

Bill Condon ('The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2', 'The Fifth Estate') directs the new live action version of 'Beauty and the Beast' from Disney, starring Emma Watson ('This Is the End', 'Harry Potter') and Dan Stevens ('Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb', 'The Cobbler'). Belle lives with his father, a peculiar inventor, in a small town in France. One day, his father gets lost in the woods and looks for shelter in a castle that seems to be empty. However, the inhabitants are still inside, transformed into objects through an evil spell, their master is now a horrifying beast. Belle exchanges her freedom for her father's, and becomes their last hope to break the spell.

'Beauty and the Beast' is an adaptation of Linda Woolverton's ('The Lion King') 1991 movie script by Evan Spiliotopoulos ('The Huntsman: Winter's War', 'Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure') and Stephen Chbosky ('The Perks of Being a Wallflower', 'Rent'). The film, produced by Disney, will be released on March 2017.
