Among the Believers

The documentary directed by Mohammed Naqvi and Hemal Trivedi follows the life of controversial Pakistani cleric, Maulana Aziz, linked to the Taliban. His mission and his life revolves around declare holy war against the government to impose sharia law. We can see how the government retaliated against him by destroying his seminary, killing his mother, his brother, his only son and 150 students. The film shows us a side of Aziz completely bipartite, a lovely image and at the same time threatening. The intention of the cleric is his personal quest to create an Islamic utopia. During the film you can also find the famous Red Mosque, where testimonies of allied students will be taken with the jihadist organization. A religious war that does not seem to end.
