Auri

'Auri' is the second feature film by Violeta Salama, after 'Alegría' (2021). The director tells the story of Auri, a 65-year-old woman, a housewife dedicated to others: her husband, her grandson, her son, and her daughter-in-law. Her husband is obsessed with the idea of turning their grandson into a millionaire footballer, while her son is frustrated with adulthood and her daughter-in-law is a young woman trying to succeed as a tattoo artist. Everyone has their own dreams, except for our protagonist, Auri, played by Cristina Ramos. It is on her 65th birthday that she receives her own money and starts her revolution: granting herself all her whims and savoring a certain freedom. 

Alongside Cristina Ramos, the cast includes Karra Elejalde, Marco Cáceres, Numa Paredes, Salva Reina, Lucía Moreno, Víctor Hubara, Mapi Sagaseta, and Isaac Dos Santos, among other actors. Samuel Pinazo is responsible for the script and, as we have mentioned, Violeta Salama is at the helm of the direction.

'Auri' is produced by companies such as Inefable Productions, SIA Production Systems, and ISII Group. It is distributed by Deep Com Roots and premieres in theaters on April 10, 2026. The film is presented on the 2026 Malaga Film Festival.
