Plot
Quirze Codina, a Catalan hospitality entrepreneur and self-taught artist, embarks on a journey as physical as it is emotional with Ale, his partner and life accomplice, through some of the most iconic beaches in the world, where the sea washes the sand beneath the horizon.
United by love and a common creative drive, they turn the sand into their canvas and the sea into a witness of their ephemeral works: gigantic mandalas and symbolic figures that exist only for a few hours before being reclaimed by the tide. Each creation is an act of surrender, a shared meditation born from the impulse to leave a mark without leaving a trace, to celebrate the beauty of the transient, and to remind us of the urgency to protect our natural environment, fleeing from static and museum-like art and embracing the fleeting and momentary.
Throughout the journey, the documentary reveals not only Quirze's artistic process but also the complicity that sustains his relationship with Ale, the true emotional engine of the project. On each beach, with each work that is erased, the couple reaffirms their commitment to an art that embraces the present and sends a message of hope: that we are still in time to live with more awareness, more love, and more respect for the Earth, to build a better and more sustainable world for future generations.
