Peppe and Mario are best friends and are also thieves, although they are not very good at the job. However, Peppe thinks he has finally managed to find a master plan to lift them out of poverty and make them rich, steal the offices of Monte de Piedad in Rome. Advised by a retired thief and accompanied by other criminals plan to dig a tunnel from the apartment which is opposite to the safe.
