Black Butterflies

The lives of Lobuin, Vanesa, and Soma, three women from different parts of the world, are about to change. United by a common tragedy, the three lose everything due to climate change and are forced to migrate to survive against hunger, war, or the floods that this phenomenon will cause. The film narrates their struggle for survival, even though their places of origin no longer exist.

Through their stories, 'Black Butterflies' gives voice to thousands of people who suffer the consequences of global warming, showing how the impact of climate change not only destroys the environment but also the lives of those who are forced to leave everything behind.

This animated film is directed by David Baute ('Climate Exodus') and features the voices of Bella Agossou, Miranda Gas, and Laura Gómez, among others.
