Bleak Street

Arturo Ripstein directed 'Bleak Street' film that inaugurated the Gijon Film Festival in 2015, where two old prostitutes, are tired of the lack of jobs because they need to do something to scape their life. One needs to get away from the incessant problems with her teenage daughter and her transvestite husband, while the other struggles to avoid loneliness. Both decided to forget everything going to the celebration party of the victory in the ring of two boxers dwarfs. So they decide to assault them and stole their profits, but accidentally end up killing them.

The story of these two accidental killers, is written by Paz Alicia Garciadiego and starring Patricia Reyes Spíndola and Nora Velazquez.
