Plot
A boy in love with cinema dreams of creating films that move him, that take him to a world of emotions and adventures that only the seventh art can offer. Throughout his life, that dream becomes an obsession that leads him to pursue a career in filmmaking, but when he finally manages to bring his project to life, he discovers that the industry is not as idyllic as he had imagined.
The struggle between the expectations of his inner child and the harsh reality of cinema becomes the driving force of his life. This documentary film parallels the life and work of José Luis Borau, one of the most important filmmakers in Spain.
Born in Zaragoza, Borau began his career as a critic at the Heraldo de Aragón and later moved to Madrid, where he studied at the first film schools. There, alongside figures who would forever change Spanish cinema—such as Luis García Berlanga, Carlos Saura, Mario Camus, and Miguel Picazo—Borau was part of a generation that would redefine the cinematic landscape of his country.
The film not only explores his artistic legacy but also the eternal quest for cinema that connects with the child who once dreamed of telling stories through the screen, with all the universe of possibilities that the seventh art opens up to connect stories with people.
