Citizen Jane: Battle for the City

'Citizen Jane: Battle for the City' is a documentary by Matt Tyrnauer that tells the story of Jane Jacobs and Robert Moses and their battles for the rights of a city in the 20th century. In a intense criticism to mass urbanization, the film follows her struggles to get mass urbanization from moving to the top of the global agenda. She speaks of the consequences these architectural decisions have on the lives of thousands and how to change these problems. Many of the urban issues we still have today were treated in her book 'The Death and Life of Great American Cities'. In the documentary they will perform a second thinking on her text and they will plan to examine the city of today through her lens.
