Arnold is a middle-aged mouse trapped in a deep existential crisis. His routine has become unbearable, his marriage is going through an irreversible collapse, and every aspect of his daily life feels empty, mechanical, and absurd. With a growing sense of alienation, Arnold begins to suspect that everything around him, from his job to personal relationships, is part of a carefully constructed farce. This perception intensifies when his best friend dies under strange circumstances that no one seems to question. Arnold's unease transforms into a conviction: something is not right.

As he delves deeper into his paranoia, he starts to see signs of a larger, oppressive structure hidden behind the facade of normalcy. What initially seems like a personal crisis takes on the tones of a Kafkaesque nightmare. Unable to find answers and increasingly pursued either by others or by his own mind, Arnold embarks on a desperate flight. His goal is unclear, but he is driven by the need to break free from the absurd cycle of his existence and reach something that resembles, even remotely, freedom.

This feature film is an expansion of the acclaimed 2016 short film of the same name, directed by Alberto Vázquez, and maintains its distinctive blend of black humor, social critique, and a unique visual aesthetic. Through the figure of Arnold, the film proposes a reflection on identity, social control, and the meaning (or meaninglessness) of life in a world that seems programmed to avoid precisely those questions.
