El rastro del lobo

As a mother and following the death of her brother, Sofia returns to her home 10 years after having left: the only house in the village that generates life thanks to its water well, which allows for the maintenance of the garden and livestock. There she reunites with her father, Gabriel, who is sick and about to die due to a vaccine administered 25 years ago. 

And he is not the only one; there are many like him, because, due to the climate crisis and overpopulation, a fascist-type government promotes the one-child policy, condemning anyone who has more than one to a programmed death (by injecting the “Saturn25” vaccine). But Gabriel could not choose: the illness of his eldest son, Xavier, led him and his wife (who died in the second childbirth) to conceive a child who could save the life of their firstborn, Sofia. Precisely when 25 years have passed since the vaccination, the so-called “system heroes” (the vaccinated) begin to suffer multiple side effects, with much pain, due to the degradation of their bodies. In this dystopia, Sofia struggles between her past, the present, and the future. 

Put she fights to obtain one of the antidotes that the new government has implemented to stop the effects of the poison. As the days go by, Gabriel's health deteriorates, opening up questions about the past of his family, while the population rebels due to the lack of water.
