Faust

On the coast of Oaxaca, in Mexico, rumblings of earlier times are always haunting around. Stories about shapeshifting, telepathy and agreements with the devil are embedded in the colonization and slavery of the American continent. The characters of the Faustian legend mix up with the inhabitants, while trying to colonize and control nature through a construction project that seems to have no end. The proposal maintains, throughout the film, a vision towards fantasy, stories and legends, in order to compose a reliable photograph of the inhabitants of this area of Mexico, with whom the author, Andrea Bussmann, had the opportunity to hold several interviews to make the film.
