The Crazy Ending that Never Was
In one version of the film, Alex and Clear were involved in a romantic subplot. In the beach scene, they ended up kissing, and later, Clear discovered she was pregnant. Additionally, in an alternate ending, Alex dies from electrocution while trying to save Clear, who eventually names her baby Alex. All of this was removed from the final cut.
The Cast That Never Was
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were very close to being cast as the leads in the film, two years before they ended up starring together in 'Spider-Man'.
Teen slasher
In the early drafts, the group of survivors was made up of seven strangers. However, due to the popularity of teen slashers at the time, the team decided to change it to a high school class instead.
180
Throughout the entire film, there are numerous references to the number 180, which is also the flight number the main characters were supposed to take to Paris. All of this is because, originally, 'Final Destination' was going to be called 'Flight 180', although the title was later changed.
