Plot
Steve Gleason was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at age 34 in 2011. The former NFL defender had retired from professional sport three years after playing for eight seasons in the New Orleans Saints. A month after doctors confirmed the fatal diagnosis, his wife Michel became pregnant. The doctors gave him five years of life but the former NFL defender to live for his wife and newborn son and to help others who suffered his illness.
