With the reboot of the saga marked by 'Halloween' (2018), direct sequel of the John Carpenter original film this new movie is the start of a new saga forgetting about the other nine sequels already done.

Having succeed in both reviews and box office with 'Halloween' (2018), producer Jason Blum used the Comic Con in july 2019 for announcing not one but two sequels, creating a new trilogy with an old version of Laurie Strode, still performed by Jamie Lee Curtis.
