In a 2013 interview, when asked about his thoughts of a Highlander remake, Christopher Lambert gave his blessing to the project, although he advised filmmakers to reinvent the original film instead of doing a straight redo of it, believing it to be irreplicable. When asked if he would take part in the remake if given a chance, Lambert replied he would be willing to do a small cameo in the film, but not a big role.
