Plot

'Hoppers' is an animated film from Pixar Animation Studios set in a world where a scientist has found a way to transfer people's consciousness into robotic animals.

Young Mabel Tanaka has always felt a special connection with animals and a deep desire to protect the natural world around her. When a team of pioneering scientists develops technology capable of "jumping" human consciousness into hyper-realistic robotic bodies, Mabel sees a unique opportunity: to experience life from the perspective of nature itself and use that experience to save a forest threatened by an excessive construction project.

By transferring her mind into the body of a robotic beaver, Mabel delves into a wild universe filled with creatures of all kinds —each with its own culture, rules, and peculiarities— and soon learns that "animal life" is much more complex than she ever imagined. From insect monarchies to the hierarchies of pond beavers, each encounter is a lesson in empathy, communication, and cooperation.

The film is directed by Daniel Chong and its screenplay is written by him along with Jesse Andrews. The original voice cast includes Jon Hamm, Bobby Moynihan, and Piper Curda.
