Yann Arthus-Bertrand directs this French documentary production that gives us a deeper look upon mankind. The documentary is composed of a variety of images and statements of a total of 60 countries. The realization was two years, with more than 2,000 respondents who have spoken so impotant issues such as combating poverty, homophobia, war, international problems. Arthus-Bertrand has also explored broader and of great concern throughout history such as family, love, life and future issues. The film has managed to deepen the human being, not only as an independent being but also as part of a company, making a deep and thorough analysis of the human condition. This documentary tries to answer the question: What is man?
