Plot
'Looking for perfection' presents a documentary that follows the story of John McEnroe, the tennis player who in 1984 came unbeaten until the end of the Roland Garros championship. There, McEnroe had to face Ivan Lendl, the Czechoslovakian tennis player who ended up winning with the one considered the best tennis player in the world. 'Looking for perfection' offers from this case a study of tennis and everything that surrounds the sport through an audiovisual essay on the relationship between cinema, tennis and competitive impulse in this kind of competition. The filmmaker Julien Faraut directs and writes this French production documentary that features the voice of the French actor Mathieu Amalric for his narration.
