Jean-François and the Meaning of Life

Francesc is a 13-year-old loner boy who discovers the book 'The myth of Sisyphus', from philosopher Albert Camus. He doesn't agree with the thesis of the philosopher, but he feels such a connexion with him that, from now on, the will call himself Jean-François and he'll become an existentialist. He'll have a new objective: go to Paris to find Camus. He will be joined by Lluna, a 17-year-old girl that's going through a hard time and accepts to go with Francesc because he has the money to do it, but with one condition: stop by to reencounter the French boy he had an affair with last summer. Together they will embark on a journey to find out what the true meaning of life is.

It's the first feature film of the Catalonian Sergi Portabella.
