Laponia

Nuria and Olvi, husband and wife, have been living in Lapönia for some time. Nuria is Spanish and has not celebrated Christmas with her family for years; that is why she decides to invite her sister Mónica and her husband to celebrate the holidays at her home in Romanievi. Everything seems to be perfect until Nuria's daughter tells her little cousin something unconfessable: that the chubby man with the white beard and red suit who leaves gifts for children does not exist. This unleashes a full-blown battle between the sisters, the little ones, and also the brothers-in-law. 'Laponia' is set on a night when secrets never before spoken are revealed, family issues are debated, and truth and lies are discussed during the holiday season. 

David Serrano is the director of this film, which has a script by Cristina Clemente and Marc Angelet. 'Laponia' is based on a play by the same authors and has that typical theatrical rhythm of the stage. David Serrano is an expert in comedy and family plots, with other titles like 'I'm Going to Have a Great Time' and 'I'm Going to Have an Even Better Time'.
