Finish Line

'Finish Line' is a Spanish documentary directed by Paola García Costas. The main story focuses on a family, specially in one of their daughters, María, who suffers from Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic neurological disorder that has made her completely disabled and in need for her family to do almost everything. There is no cure for such disease. María's father, Josele, is an amateur athlete who competes in national and international marathons alongside his daughter on a stroller. His goal is clear: he wants to build awareness on society around the world about this disease reclaiming the lack of pharmaceutical investigations to create treatments for this disease that affects 1 in 10 thousand girls.
