Mi mundial

The film 'Mi mundial' is directed by Carlos Merelli and its based on the novel with the same name written by the Uruguayan author Daniel Baldi. It's an Uruguayan, Argentinian and Bazilian coproduction which was selected in the Guadalajara International Film Festival, winning several awards, among them the award for best image and best sound mixing.

'Mi mundial' introduces us in the life of Tito, who has a great ability to play football. Thanks to his ability he gets a contract in a team and he and his family come out of the poverty they live in. He becomes the main family supporter and just when he thought he was going to be a star, an unexpected event takes place and his dream is broken, forcing him and his family to return to the town.
