'Mujeres calvas' focuses on a taboo subject that no one knows about and no one talks about, a topic that remains hidden: female alopecia. Seven bald women break the silence they have maintained until now and speak for the first time. Their testimonies become a journey that is overwhelming and takes us from the deepest pain to joy.

All of them try to walk towards their freedom in a society where aesthetic pressure continues to force them to hide. Now, with their story, they aim to be an example for others, an example for all.

This documentary feature becomes the debut film of Sandra Román, a young journalist and audiovisual communicator of 30 years. It tells the stories of Idoia, Julia, Jihane, Montse, Núria, and Claudia, six women who, through their testimonies, guide us in this story that delves into one of the great taboos of our society. They are joined by a seventh woman who self-records her process of "coming out" as a bald woman.
