Plot

''Queen Rock Montreal'' is a concert film directed by Saul Swimmer that recaptures one of the most legendary performances in rock history, recorded in 1981 over two nights at the Forum in Montreal (Canada).

The documentary brings back Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon in one of the most electrifying moments of their career, and offers a direct portrait of the energy and magnetism that made Queen an unrepeatable phenomenon

For nearly an hour and a half, the band performs some of their greatest hits, such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," "Somebody to Love," "Another One Bites the Dust," and "We Are the Champions," in a repertoire that summarizes their ability to merge spectacle, emotion, and musical mastery on stage.

The film has been digitally restored and remastered for its re-release in theaters, including screenings in IMAX format with high-definition images and surround sound through 12 channels. This allows the viewer to experience it from an immersive perspective, as if they were in the front row of the concert.

Aside from being a great show, the documentary serves as a time capsule that showcases Mercury in full command of his stage charisma and the band in perfect connection with the audience. Its return to theaters in 2026 aims to bring this milestone closer to both longtime fans and new generations, which defends the relevance of Queen's legacy and the timeless power of their live music.
