Plot

‘'Queer Me'’ is a documentary by director Irene Bailo Carramiñana.

It is the director's first feature film. It builds a deeply intimate and collective narrative that traces the birth of a queer-transfeminist community from the director's personal experience.

It is composed of archival material (photographs, home videos, memories, testimonies, etc.), as well as current images of the squatted house TDB (Trou De Balle) in Toulouse.

A plot is drawn that exposes an evolution over time through a vital, political, and generational journey. We navigate alongside them from their first adolescent loves to their incorporation into the squatted house in 2015.

The film showcases real experiences of trans, non-binary people, or those working in the sexual field that are often not reflected in a hegemonic culture.

It embraces those experiences silenced by society's silence to shed light on marginalized stories, advocate for affective, sexual, and gender diversity, as well as denounce the invisibility of this perspective throughout history.

A work that is both individual and collective. A window into a world that many cannot imagine as possible. The day-to-day lives of people who live alongside us that no one stops to think about. The formation of an identity, a space for creation, care, memory, and future.
