'Singled Out' tells the story of five women who are reaching an agreement with themselves and being single. They are in full search to find their place in the modern world. Filmed in Melbourne, Shanghai, Istanbul and Barcelona. The film is an intimate and personal journey of four years of the filmmakers Mariona Guiu and Ariadna Relea. The documentary's history stems from her own personal struggles with being single. Explore what it means to be a single woman in a world defined by increased dependence and choice, a world in which your value as a person seems to be linked to the type of relationships you establish. The filmmakers have interviewed experts, traveled the world and discovered that their concerns are part of a larger picture.
