Slotherhouse

'Slotherhouse' is a 2023 horror comedy film directed by Matthew Goodhue. The premise follows Emily Young, who adopts a three-toed sloth named Alpha with the goal of using it to gain votes and become leader of the Sigma Lambda Theta (SLTH) sorority. The mascot is loved by everyone until he starts killing the sorority girls one by one. The girls must survive and escape the sloth alive.

The cast includes Lisa Ambalavanar as Emily, Sydney Craven as Brianna, Andrew Horton as Tyler, Bianca Beckles-Rose as Zenny, Olivia Rouyre as Madison, Tiff Stevenson as Mrs. Mayflower, Sutter Nolan as Sarah , Milica Vrzic as Gabby, Stefan Kapi?i? as Oliver, Annamária Serda as Dakota, Grace Patterson as Chloe, Kelly Lynn Reiter as Ava, Tiana Upcheva as Alissa and Bradley Fowler as a paramedic. Rudi Rok provides the uncredited voice of Alpha.

The production of Slotherhouse originated when the film's co-writer, Bradley Fowler, tried to come up with the "dumbest idea" he could think of. Cady Lanigan described the concept as "like Mean Girls and Happy Dying Day with a Gremlins twist." Lanigan stated that the film was inspired by classic horror films and their use of practical effects.

The film was released on August 30, 2023 by Gravitas Ventures in Regal Cinemas in the United States and will arrive on Movistar Plus+ on March 12, 2024.
