Socotra, the Island of Djinns

'Socotra, the Island of Djinns' is the first documentary spoken entirely in Soqotri, the language that is spoken in the island of Socotra, located in front of Yemen coast. 'Socotra, the Island of Djinns' is a film adaptation of a homonymous book written by Jordi Esteva. Also Esteva writes and directs the documentary film that shows the trip to the interior of the island that was known in the antiquity because of being the home of Phoenix and Rukh birds according to mythology. The isolation that the island has suffered during all the history has contributed to finding flora that has disappeared in the most part of the world. 'Socotra, the Island of Djinns' follows the walk of some camel's sellers to arrive on the mountains.
