Stanley a Man of Variety

Stanley (Timothy Spall) is a man who has been imprisoned for fifteen years for a crime he believes he did not commit. The only thing that distracts him is the privilege of being able to watch over and over again the video section of his prized collection of old shows on the old TV in his cell. But after being removed from this privilege and after so much time there, he starts talking to his comedy heroes of the past who try to help him remember what he has done.

In this journey of hallucinations, he will face his unusual education, the strange religious beliefs of his parents, he despairs to know what happened to his daughter and what led him to an ordinary life that he had dreamed.

All the characters in this films are played by Spall.
