Plot

In 1970s Spain, a 20-year-old young man dazzled an entire country with his talent on the courts. His name was Charles Thomas. African American, elegant, charismatic, and with an explosive playing style, Charles came from the United States to revolutionize Spanish basketball as the new promise of Barça. In a sport still in the process of professionalization, Charles shone not only for his skills but also for his presence: he was media-savvy, modern, and seemed to have a future written in gold.

But the meteoric rise soon found its shadow. An injury in his youth cut his career short. Away from the court, Charles fell into a spiral of addiction, loneliness, and self-destruction. His once-adored figure began to fade from the media spotlight. Until one day, with hardly any explanations, he disappeared. In 1980, his death was announced. An accident, they said. He was only 26 years old. For more than forty years, his story remained trapped in silence. His figure became a myth: What happened to him? What led him to disappear so suddenly? How could someone so full of life extinguish so soon?

Forty years later, his best friend, who never stopped remembering him, receives an unexpected call from a foreign number. On the other end of the line, a familiar voice throws him a phrase that changes everything: "Charles is alive." What follows is a journey full of twists, secrets, and emotions, between the past and the present, between the idol he was and the man he could have been. A true story about fame, forgetfulness, identity, and the possibility of starting over when everything seems lost.
