The Accidental Husband

'The Accidental Husband' is an American romantic comedy directed by Griffin Dunne. The film, produced by Blumhouse, premiered in theaters in the UK in February 2008, while in the United States it was released directly on DVD. In theaters, it ended up grossing $22.7 million.

Patrick Sullivan is about to start a happily married life with his fiancée Sophia, until she decides to call a radio show hosted by the famous expert Emma Lloyd. Emma questions Sophia's concept of romance and encourages her to break up with her fiancé, which she quickly does, leaving Patrick single and uncommitted.

Patrick decides to seek revenge on Dr. Emma Lloyd, who is also about to get married, and vows to sabotage her marriage. He hacks the registry database to make it appear that he is married to her. When Emma goes to file the paperwork for her wedding, it is denied, and she has to track down Patrick to ask him to fix the error by signing an annulment. What they didn't expect is that the spark of love could arise between them...

'The Accidental Husband' stars Uma Thurman as Emma, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Patrick. Colin Firth is Richard, Emma's fiancé. The rest of the cast includes Sam Shepard, Lindsay Sloane, Isabella Rossellini, Brooke Adams, Ajay Naidu, and Sarita Choudhury.
