The origins of the project
Shortly after the news of the alleged sexual abuse of Harvey Weinstein came out in 2017, the project began to take shape and several conversations were held between Simon China and Simon Young.
A long list
Approaching the life of Harvey Weinstein was a very daunting task as they came to gather more than 600 people on an extensive list of names. They contacted almost 400 people of which 148 were able to talk to them. Finally, 29 people were recorded in 9 months.
Small screen
It is planned that the documentary will be televised in England, but they have thought about releasing it in cinemas in order to be chosen in different awards such as the Academy and the BAFTA's in 2019.
The perfect occasion
Ursula Macfarlane felt it was the perfect movie for her when producer Simon Chinn asked her to make the documentary with him. The reasons were several but it was important to give women a voice on the screen.
Simon Chinn returns to produce
The two time Oscar winner returns to produce a documentary since 'Whitney' last year.
Testimony
The documentary features testimonies of alleged Harvey Weinstein's victims as Rosanna Arquette, Hope Exiner D'Amore, Paz de la Huerta or Caitlin Dulany.
The beginning of production
Simon China met with Macfarlane in 2017 and quickly began working in this title.
