Yeses

Yeserías is an old women's prison in Madrid, Spain. There, a graduated from Drama School named Elena Cánovas worked as civil servant. She founded "Teatro Yeses", a drama company formed by female inmates. This is the documentary of the trajectory of her proyect, which works also as a meditation on the therapeutic, reinserting liberating character of drama, whose practice has helped women to get in touch with their emotions. As well as an education, theater gave them the ability to fend for themselves.

The documentary, of 70 minutes, is the first work in this genre by Miguel Forneiro, who after sharing an afternoon of anecdotes with Elena, decided that the history of this theater group deserved to be told to the world.
