You and Me

La doña is a white widow who lost her husband. Aridia, her young african-American maid. The two women share a small, pared-down flat in the center of Santo Domingo. But life together is not easy. Aridia keeps the apartment clean while la Doña cares for her garden when there is no more work. But they almost always end up arguing. The days that Dona is pissed Aridia suffers his bad mood. There are moments that they don't speak. But then, the soap opera keep them together: they end up laughing together as if nothing had happened. 'You and I' is a documentary that follows closely the relationship between two women belonging to different races and social classes. Two people who share similar interests but have different styles of thinking.
