We have at last been able to see the final trailer for 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' and this new teaser has come full of surprises for followers of the world of 'Harry Potter'; one of the most exciting of being the subtle name-drop which did not go unnoticed by a single fan of the franchise.

'Fantastic Beasts 2': The Surprising Appearance from a 'Harry Potter' Universe Character

In the first minute of the trailer we see Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller) stood inside a cage at what seems to be a magical circus. The character then whispers a single word which reveals more about the upcoming film than anything that has come before: "Nagini". And immediately after, we see the actress Claudia Kim, whose character identity has remained hidden up until now, seeming to transform from human form into the very same deadly serpent: Lord Voldemort's pet and final Horcrux.

According to interviews with Entertainment Weekly, in 'The Crimes of Grindelwald' we will see a Nagini who is far from the villain you might expect after watching the events in 'Harry Potter', thus confirming that this is in fact the same character we have seen before. Kim reveals that, while you might assume that her character is simply a human with the gift of an animagus, such as Sirius Black (who can transform into a dog as and when he chooses), her snake form is actually a curse, and she only has a limited time as a human before she one day transforms into a snake for good.

"It will be so interesting to see another side of Nagini," Kim confesses. "You've only seen her as a Horcrux. In this, she's a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think that's a wonderful contrast to the character".

The other big surprises from the trailer

As well as revealing the role of Claudia Kim and the presence of Nagini in this new installment in the Potter Universe, the final trailer for 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' has left us with a vast quantity of novelties and surprises to unpick up until the last moments before the film is released on November 16th.

Numerous new creatures and exciting hints are scattered throughout the trailer, which have been totally unseen before, but in addition, it offers us truly exciting moments for the franchise's biggest fans; one of the most enticing moments was the shot of Dumbledore gazing into the mirror of Erised, only to see the image of a very young Grindelwald and himself staring back at him. Below you can watch the trailer for yourselves.
