After eight years of a storyline plagued with battles, fantasy, action, sex, violence and an unforgettable cast, we only have one season of 'Game of Thrones' left. The season is most likely to air sometime during 2019. Whilst we know next to nothing, the actors have already read their scripts and are in Belfast ready to start filming. It's clear that it's not just us fans who'll suffer when we bid farewell to the show: Kit Harington as he revealed on the BBC's The One Show, cried when he read the script for the last episode.

"I know everything now", confirmed the actor. "I'm really emotional about it. We had the read through last week in fact... I cried at the end... You have to remember the eight years of it, and I think no one really cares about it more than us."

Harington also mentioned how filming his last scenes with various other cast members was going to be a difficult task. Considering how long the show has been going on, it's no surprise that the relationship between the cast is a strong one, and Harington clarified that it's going to be the end of an important chapter of his life. Despite not being able to tell us anything about the upcoming season, the actor confessed when the show finishes, he's going to cut off his long hair.

"I've loved having long hair but its just the continual strange fascination in interviews with it that I find bizarre."

We won't just have to say goodbye to the series, but Jon Snow's legendary mane too!

The 'Game of Thrones' world isn't over yet

Whilst the final season of 'Game of Thrones' is imminent, HBO has a group of scriptwriters preparing spin-off series. Some scripts, like those by Jane Goldman ('Kick-Ass' and 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'), are already completed. Although the screenwriter can't reveal much more, she revealed true fans, who have read the novels by George R.R. Martin, will know what the new series is about. Once GoT finishes, we'll be able to enjoy the prequel.
