NBC save 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' from cancellation with a sixth season

Following Fox's decision to cancel beloved comedy series 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', NBC have decided to pick up the program.

Just this passed 11th May, Fox revealed it was to cancel its comedy 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and fans everywhere turned into a wild state of panic. However, it all seems to have been resolved now, for, NBC have decided to pick up the series for a sixth season.

Alongside 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', Fox also announced the cancellations of 'The Last Man on Earth' and 'The Mick'. All of the shows are due to be replaced by new comedies. Fans had hoped that Hulu would pick up the former show, but negotiations on that front seemed to lead to a dead end, leaving Andy Samberg and co without many other options.

Thankfully, a day later, creator, Dan Goor was able to confirm via his personal Twitter account that the show had been picked up by none other than NBC.

NBC Entertainment president, Roger Greenblatt spoke about his decision to ScreenRant: "Ever since we sold this show to Fox I've regretted letting it get away, and it's high time it came back to its rightful home".

And so everything was well again...
