Everyone likes to hear a happy ending, and luckily for us 'Once Upon a Time' fans, we might get just that. The ABC series has been putting a spin on classic fairy tails since 2011, but they've now decided to call it a day. The series won't be renewed after its seventh season although many of the much loved characters will be returning to put an end to the Storybrooke curses once and for all.

 Some of the OUAT characters

According to Entertainment Weekly, the main cast (Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin and Emilie de Ravin) will return for the show's final episode. The four left the series after the sixth season, although Morrison and Ravin have each appeared in an episode since. "We couldn't think of a more fitting way to say farewell than by reuniting so many of the characters that our fiercely loyal fans spent years with on their adventures", revealed executive producers, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

Dallas and Goodwin played Snow White and Prince Charming, respectively, whilst Morrison played their daughter, Emma Swan. Emilie de Ravin played Belle throughout the series, until her storyline came to an end in the fourth episode of season seven. Luckily, nothing is forever in 'Once Upon a Time', meaning the actress will be returning to our screens to finally get her happily ever after. OUAT will say goodbye with a two episode special set to air on 11th and 18th May in the States. The four actors will appear in the latter special.

Who else?

A lot of actors are set to return for the final episodes, and Jared Gilmore, the actor behind the young Henry Mills, is one of the most anticipated: Rebecca Mader's, the Wicked Witch of the West will also make an appearance. Leroy, Geppetto, Ariel, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Cruella de Vil, are just a handful of the faces we'll see, although there'll also be a few notable absences. Meghan Ory (Ruby) has not yet confirmed her return, neither have Michael Raymond-James (Neal Cassidy) nor Barbara Hershey (Cora Mills).
